1. Eligibility for Refunds

We offer refunds for items that:

  1. Arrive damaged or defective.

  2. Are incorrect or missing from your order.

  3. Are perishable and arrive spoiled (with valid proof).

To be eligible for a refund:

  1. You must contact us within 5 days of receiving your order.

  2. Items must be unused and in the original packaging (when applicable).

  3. You must provide a clear photo of the issue (e.g., damaged product, spoiled item, incorrect item received).


2. Non-Refundable Items

Certain items are not eligible for a refund:

  1. Items purchased on clearance or as part of a final sale.

  2. Perishable goods (unless spoiled or damaged upon arrival).

  3. Gift cards or promotional items.


3. How to Request a Refund

To initiate a refund request, please:

  2. Attach relevant photos or documentation.

  3. Our support team will review your request and respond within 3–5 business days.


4. Refund Processing Time

Approved refunds are typically processed within 5–7 business days. Depending on your payment provider, it may take additional time for the funds to appear in your account.


5. Shipping Costs

If the refund is due to our error (damaged, defective, or incorrect item), we’ll cover all related shipping costs. Otherwise, return shipping costs (if applicable) are the responsibility of the customer.

Return & Cancellation Policy


Customer-Initiated Cancellations

We understand that sometimes plans change. However, since we deal with fresh and perishable products, we’re unable to offer returns or refunds for the following reasons:

  1. Incorrect items ordered by the customer

  2. Incorrect shipping address provided

  3. Change of mind or taste preferences

  4. Perishable items that have been opened, used, or not stored properly after delivery

Please note: Once an order is placed through our website, it cannot be cancelled or modified. We process orders quickly to ensure timely delivery and product freshness.


Cancellations by Desi Ingredients (Zairyou Foods)

In rare cases, Desi Ingredients (Zairyou Foods) may need to cancel an order. If this happens, we’ll do our best to notify you as soon as possible. A cancellation may occur for reasons such as:

  1. The shipping address provided is invalid or outside our delivery zones

  2. We’re unable to reach you via phone or email at the time of delivery

  3. We are missing essential delivery instructions or authorization from your side

  4. An item in your order is unexpectedly out of stock

In the event that a product is unavailable, we will contact you at the phone number provided. You will have the option to:

  1. Modify your order, or

  2. Cancel the entire order

If the order is cancelled due to product unavailability, you’ll receive a full refund for the unavailable item(s), or up to 100% of the order value, depending on your preference. No additional fees will be charged in such cases.

Please note that if an order must be cancelled for reasons not attributable to us (such as incorrect address or failed contact attempts), we reserve the right to deduct a nominal operational fee to cover handling and logistics costs.
